Landmark celebrates twenty years in a spin

It is NOT a ferris wheel – it is a cantilevered observation wheel. There is no capsule numbered 13, the 32 pods are numbered 1-33 – each of these pods representing one of the boroughs in the capital. It spins, well rotates, at twice the sprinting speed of a tortoise, 26cm a second in case you wondered. Happy birthday London Eye, two decades young today.
