Thanks UK Toy Fair – You were good

The UK toy fair celebrated 70 years in operation, it was one of the best we’ve attended, perhaps not as busy as in some years past but so very many stands at which to stop and take stock of their wares. The show took over four halls in total, the entire affair just felt pretty stylish, effort input could certainly be seen in the vast majority of company stands. The usual mix of the character parade, a dashing of celebrations and some showcasing of new launches combined with after-hours discussions which began with business and eventually ended up in chatter about anything but.

As the BTHA celebrated its 80th anniversary, they announced the Toy Fair Hero Toys (27 of them) and showcased an extensive range of toy categories, including games and puzzles and plush and collectibles, sectors which all saw growth throughout 2023. Value was high on the selectors agenda and there were 15 out of the 27 priced under £25. Telybox face and Podcaster goddess Anna Williamson unveiled the Toy Fair Hero Toys for 2024, here they are.
