Playmobil going gung-ho for the Kidult cash

They’ve brought us fine looking sets celebrating Scooby Doo and Back to the Future, kidults lapped them up, how better to celebrate than announcing even more retro sets. First up new that comic book and movie character Asterix is getting the Playmobil treatment sometime in 2022, the Gaulish chap and his side kick Obelix should make for some interesting shelf fodder.

Sooner than that though, you’ll need to smash open the bank of piggy to ensure you’ve this set, yes, The A-Team van plus Hannibal, B.A, Face and Murdock figures and a load of accessories, sliding door, opening rear-door – We do love it when a plan comes together. It’ll be out in Mid-October, pre-orders at IWOOT for £70.

And please folk do NOT adjust your sets, yes it really is true, Star Trek is to be immortalised as a Playmobil set. Probably the priciest set they’ve produced at about £400 but, set number 70548 is 42 inches long and 18 inches high complete with sounds and lights controlled via smartphone. It is a total homage to the 1966 spacecraft, loads of detail
