Classic board games get the digital treatment

Inside this touchscreen piece of tech are over 40 classic boardgames inside a water-resistant coffee-table-esque exterior that’ll take centre stage in your front room. Play with the kids, play with your mates, let the kids get their mates around and marvel at how much space you’ve saved not having all those boxes.  Made by Arcade1Up some of the preloaded games are Othello, Operation, Guess Who, Chess, Backgammon, Monopoly and Game of Life (full list below) but you get the idea, something for everyone is in there. The table just launched in the UK and they’re adding new titles all the time, some of the pay for games include Ticket to Ride and Pandemic and their engineers are working flat out to bring new ones to the table (when we say flat out we do expect there is quite a bit of playing going on too). Tactile feedback and built-in speakers, Internet connectivity allows new game downloads and the ability to play with up to six players across the globe, take the legs offfr storage or to play it on another table, yours for a not insignificant £899.99 at but there is nothing around like it so if you’re a first mover in technology and love bragging rights AND you’re a board game fan AND you enjoy having fun (tick, tick, tick?). We’ve been playing ours for a few weeks and whilst we don’t spend hours at a time on it we do play a couple of games every day
