Barbie Inclusive range increses

There’s a few new entries in town as Mattel launch their latest additions to the Barbie Fashionistas range. It’s all about having a range which better reflects the world that kids see everyday. There’s one doll with vitiligo, one without hair, and one with a gold prosthetic limb and a darker skin tone. I’m admittedly smirked at the new look Ken, he is sporting long, golden locks of his own that can be brushed and styled, yes still it will always look like a fancy dress accessory. The doll with vitiligo and the long-haired Ken doll are available now, the rest out in the Summer. According to the company’s website, the Fashionistas doll range now includes 176 dolls with nine body types, 35 skin tones, and 94 hairstyles – And yet there are some still not happy, continually bemoaning that there’s not enough inclusion. Three years ago there was NO range, this IS superb progress, I want a Ken for my desk to make me smirk everyday.
