Bandai Namco make your dreams come true with Tori Entertainment

The evolution of AR, VR and Touch Screen technologies have allowed the human race to come closer than ever to experiencing their wildest dreams and there’s just been another revelation. ISKN- creator of smart sketching surface ‘The Slate’ have teamed up with Bandai Namco to produce ‘Tori’, a wonder kit of AR & customisation!

Available in October this year, The Tori Explorer pack comes with a sensor board that connects to any tablet device. This then acts as a stage for the Tori Wand, Catapult & Spacecraft and allows kids to customise digital elements that can be manipulated by playing with the physical toys.

This combination of digital and physical play gives children an awesome play experience whilst also building key skills such as hand-eye coordination and key knowledge such as gravity physics.

As seen in the video below, Tori’s level of customisation is way beyond anything we’ve seen in this sector. Players can colour in their own spacecraft and then see their unique designs spring to life within an instant. This new leap in tech (especially in the portable realm) promises that the full potential of AR play has not yet been reached. What lies ahead is anyone’s guess but it’s clear that ‘Connected Play’ is here to stay and is anything but the fad that many warned of a few years ago.
