Boardgame fans heading en masse to the Midlands

ukgamesexpo

To say I’m quite a fan of Boardgames would be about accurate, I find there are plenty of titles I’d like to play but the taking in the rulebook puts me right off. Last week I co-hosted an event for the UK games distributor Esdevium and we played Pandemic, the rules of which, to digest in written form are scarier than the walking dead to easier-to-digest Sheriff of Nottingham and Codenames. What stood out at Board Game Club was that Esdevium supplied ten or so demonstrators to talk gusts through the games, which meant, gameplay could be picked up in minutes. So, whatever you are doing next weekend 3rd to 5th June, cancel it and get along to the UK’s Gaming Expo at the NEC. Turn up, join in, catch a tournament or two, it is a family affair and packed with people with a passion for gameplay. See you there.
